Designer Roundup
We love seeing how you use ED Ellen DeGeneres pillows, throws and rugs by Loloi Rugs in your homes. Whether it’s pulling a room together with a rug, adding pops of color with pillows or strategically placing a throw to make the environment more inviting, we love seeing how you make it yours. Here’s a roundup of a few of our favorites from Instagram. Feel free to tag @EDbyEllen for a chance to be featured.
A rich colored rug to ground the space
Ellen Read used a deeper toned Villa rug among her bright white walls and white sofa for a beautiful contrast. “The Villa rug completed our space with effortless style and gave it the warm, cozy elevated look we were going for. It’s modern, yet inviting, and the perfect addition to our living space.”
An appealing entryway
A home’s entryway is often overlooked – but it can be styled to provide a warm welcome when you come home or host guests. It sets the tone for how others experience your home. Designer Katie Dean reminds us that a fresh coat of paint, new light fixture, rug and accessories can go a long way to create an environment in a foyer! The Moreno border rug and accent pillows on the bench and distinguished Brianna chandelier make it feel like home.
Create a Cozy Nook
Doug Marshall had some dead space in his oversized living room that he turned into a cozy destination. “We have this area by the windows that is part of the living room but too far away to tie in with the rest of the furniture. We decided to create a sitting area that compliments the rest of the room but feels like its own space. The Mar Vista rug created a little island oasis for the chairs and the pillows bring a fresh pop of color. It’s the perfect room within a room.”
Pillows and Throws complete the look
Adding decorative pillows or a throw to a solid couch that pulls in elements from a patterned or multi-colored rug creates synchronicity and harmony in a room. Gage Tucker wanted to add some patterned elements to the solid couch that played well with the multicolored rug, but didn’t want the pillows to compete with it. The result: A soothing and cohesive color palette that feels welcoming.
